Literally Moving

September- December 2008 Another Dance Company will be working on their new project.... Literally Moving!

ADC will be working with 6 Sheffield schools to create a dance each, culminating in a public performance of all their hard work.

3 primary schools & 3 secondary schools will each separately explore a book, looking at ways to create dance from text. Using young people’s ideas and imaginations each dance that is created will be unique and individual to each group. The cross phase project will show children and young adults how text can be analysed and understood on many different levels with fun and innovative approaches to movement.

The 6 complete dance pieces will be performed at the Bannerdale centre, Carter Knowle Road, Sheffield on the 9th December. Ticket details to be announced shortly.

The project is funded by a Performing Arts Grant from the Clore Duffield Foundation.
