Sheffield Dance Collective

Another Dance Company organise a monthly professional contemporary dance class in Sheffield for local dance artists known as the Sheffield Dance Collective.

Each month a guest teacher leads a class, followed by a workshop of repertory, improvisation and/ or creative tasks drawing on their individual expertise.
Previous teachers have included Riccardo Meneglini, Fiona Wright, Mona McCarthey, Manuela Berndt and Gerry Turvey.

The class is open to all. Its aim is to bring together local professionals and create an opportunity to dance and explore together. Non- professional dancers attend and are very welcome, you just need to have an open mind and a willingness to give it a go! New participants would be warmly welcomed to our informal friendly sessions.

The class and workshop run for 4 consecutive hours (with a break) on a weekend day once a month. The cost is £20, to cover venue hire and teacher costs.

Contemporary technique class followed by a
