Laura Aldridge -Choreographer & Artistic Director

Laura Aldridge began her initial dance training at Swindon Dance in 1992, working with renowned teachers and choreographers, including Henri Oguike, Sheron Wray, Jeremy James and Kenneth Tharp as part of Swindon Youth Dance Company. After graduating in 2003 from the University of Sheffield with a BA (hons) in History, Laura went on to train in professional dance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds. During this time Laura studied Cunningham and Graham technique and performed professional work choreographed by Debbie Purtill, Lisi Perry and Tom Dale. Majoring in choreography, Laura created ‘The Mechanics of It’ (2005), ‘Aluminium Leaves’ (2005) and ‘Dear Adrian Mole…’ (2006).

Laura Aldridge established Another Dance Company in August 2006 to explore her interest in creating professional choreography that can reach young audiences and widen participation in dance.

Laura devises and facilitates Another Dance Company's extensive dance education programme in Sheffield.

Julia Mazowska -Dancer

Julia started dancing age 7 in her hometown Stockholm, Sweden. Julia was awarded a place at university to study engineering; however she chose to follow her passion for dance, which brought her to England to train at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Julia has danced in Budapest, Malaga, Barcelona and Madrid. She has taught classical ballet, jazz and creative dance for adults with learning disabilities. Julia has performed works choreographed by Bernadette Iglich, Kathinka Walter, Simon Birch, Tom Dale, Hofesh Shechter, Glenn Wilkinson, Shobana Jeyasingh and Kim Brandstrup before joining Another Dance Company in August 2007.

Daliah Toure -Dancer

Daliah trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. During her Degree programme she worked with Hofesch Schechter, Bernadette Iglitch, and Kathinka Walter amongst others. Since graduating in 2006 Daliah has been involved in numerous projects, performing at dance festivals and choreographic platforms. Originally from Austria, Daliah's background lies in the Visual Arts, gaining a degree in photography at Nottingham Trent University.
Daliah’s experience in other art forms is ever present in her work, bringing an eclectic approach to both her movement and choreography.

Fran Widdowson -Dancer

Born in Nottingham Fran first began dancing aged 8 years old at her local dance school. Actively involved in dance from a young age, Fran was a member of the City of Nottingham Education Theatre, performing in a production of 42nd Street at 14. Fran completed an Access to Performing Arts course at Clarendon College Nottingham before going on to train professionally at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Fran has worked with Boomerang Dance Company, and more recently RODA. Fran has performed at various national venues including her personal highlight; Glastonbury Festival.

Emilie Limouzin -Dancer

Emilie started dancing when she was just 5 yrs old in Toulouse, France. After finishing school Emilie moved to England to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer, successfully securing a place on the BPA Contemporary Dance course at NSCD, Leeds. Whilst at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance Emilie worked with established professional choreographers; including Simon Birch, Lisi Perry and Tom Dale. Emilie was involved in numerous choreographic projects whilst at NSCD, beginning her creative relationship with choreographer Laura Aldridge and fellow dancers Daliah Toure and Fran Widowson. Graduating from NSCD in July 2006, Emilie has worked with RODA before becoming a founding member of Another Dance Company.
